The Distinguishing Features
This product type is our least expensive product offering. As this is unframed, the product will either be shipped to you flat or safely rolled up. Enabling lower delivery fees.
If you really want one of our products at the lowest cost, then this is what you’re after.
We still use the same high quality paper and printing process as with our other products but this is simply missing the framing process.
We encourage you to get this framed locally with a custom frame in a colour of your choice. We also appreciate that due to the lower shipping weight, this variant creates the lowest carbon emissions.
The Printing Surface
This product is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Paper.
Hahnemühle Photo Rag is one of the best-known fine art inkjet papers. It's often the reference paper for museum-quality giclée prints.
Operated in Dassel since 1584. Photo Rag belongs to its Digital FineArt range. "Rag" means the paper is made from 100% cotton fibre instead of wood pulp. That's the traditional material for artists' papers.
It is acid-free and lignin-free and contains no optical brightening agents which is why it's rated for very long archival life. It won't yellow the way brightened papers can.
The matte paper has a soft texture with a lightly defined felt structure for a refined finish. This heavyweight paper is vegan certified and is regarded as museum grade.
The Environment & Product
Our photographic prints are produced using high-quality water-based inks, reducing the use of harsh chemicals while delivering exceptional colour accuracy and longevity.
To minimise transportation emissions, orders are fulfilled through a network of local production partners. This helps reduce shipping distances and lowers the overall carbon footprint of each order.
The glass used is acrylic glass, offering a durable alternative to traditional glass. The increased resistance to breakage helps reduce damage during transit, minimising replacements, redeliveries, and the associated environmental impact.
The Packaging
Rigid spiral-wound cardboard tubes for easy recycling! In the UK the tubes are capped with compostable plastic-free caps. Eco friendly paper based tapes are used to secure the endcaps in place.
Alternatively, double-walled triangular postal tubes are used to safely transport the product. The triangular shape is easier to transport through automated postal facilities as cylindrical tubes can roll off transport belts.

Every print is produced using the Giclée printing process, the industry standard for fine art reproduction. Originally developed for artists, galleries, and museums, Giclée printing is renowned for its exceptional detail, colour accuracy, and archival longevity. This premium printing method captures the subtle tones, textures, and nuances of each image, ensuring a result that faithfully reflects the original artwork.
The Sustainable, High-Performance Inks
We use advanced water-based inks throughout our entire print collection. These inks deliver outstanding colour depth, vibrancy, and precision while providing a more environmentally responsible alternative to traditional solvent-based inks. Unlike solvent-based inks, which can release hazardous pollutants, water-based inks are non-toxic, non-hazardous, and odourless, with up to 70% of their formulation consisting of water.
The Hand Crafting & Delivery
Each print is individually produced to order and undergoes a meticulous printing and quality control process to ensure it meets our exacting standards. Production typically takes up to three working days allowing sufficient time for printing, mounting, finishing, and inspection.
Once approved, your artwork is carefully packaged and dispatched, ready to be displayed and enjoyed for years to come.
